Death and Reincarnation (Madison Shecker's Story) pt. 38

"...Rage can both a plus and minus in a battle. On the plus side, it can sometimes increase your strengh and abilities by about 10 times what it usually is, giving you the advantage in the duel. But at the same time, i can blind you from the obvious and can cost you not only a duel, but your own life. Is there a possible way to harness the power that rage and hatred can give, without getting the negative effects of being easier prey? Right now, as I stand here in front of Devena, one thing is certain. I'm going to destroy her..."

Madison Shecker's Perspective
Madison gasps in terror as Toshiro falls to the ground, blood dripping from his body as his wound lets out more by the second. Her heart pounds hard, trying it's best not to stop from the shock of what she had just seen.
"T-Toshiro!" Madison yells, her voice cracking.
He doesn't reply.
"Toshiro, wake up, Toshiro-! Madison starts to cry.
"Shut your mouth." Devena snaps as she grabs Madison by the neck.
Madison coughs as she tries to breath, Devena chuckling as her blood red eyes glare her down.
"I will never understand you people. The way you care for each other is sickening." Devena says.
Madison looks down at her.
"Sickening huh? What about you?" Madison comments.
Devena's eyes become more dangerous.
"What are you saying?" Devena asks, her voice colder then before.
"You're a hollow right? You must have your own pride or something. But is what you call your "pride" even ethical? Admit it, all you know is murder and slaughter, that's not pride, or knowledge, that's pure barbaric idiocy-!" Madison explains.
Before Madison can finish, Devena right hooks her in the cheek, causing her to spat more blood.
"You little WENCH!" Devena spats outraged by Madison's comment.
She throws Madison to the side, allowing her to breath, but get scratched and cut by uprooted rocks. She slowly sits up as Devena walks closer, Mamori appearing in her right hand as she draws closer.
"It's that very arrogance that I absolutely despise. You don't know a thing about me-" Devena spits.
"You're wrong." Madison interupts.
"What?" Devena asks.
"Ever since you were created, you lived in the shadows of Yattamori's mind. Ever since I discovered my past, I've also lived in the shadows of Yattamori. No one ever called me Shecker until we were split into two different people. I was pretty much invisible. You go through the same thing, but because of the fact that you're a hollow, you don't have compassion or hope, just the lust of malace and murder." she explains, beginning to glow a light green, surprising Devena.
"Wha-What?" Devena says.
"But, there's a slight difference between us..." Shecker says as she begins to stand up, the light increasing around her, " I'M NOT A MURDERER!"
Within a second, Mamori appears in her hand, and she stands it straight up and down, the hilt up.
"I don't know what will happen since I haven't used it since I've returned to this world. But I don't take too kindly to people who hurt my best friend."
Devena's eyes widen.
"You wouldn't." Devena says.
"BANKAI!" Madison yells, the light consuming her.
As the light works around her body, a voice comes to her mind.
...you're using Bankai?!...
Mamori's voice sounds worried. Madison smiles.
"I'll be fine, just lend me your strengh, please, for Yattamori...and Toshiro." Madison says.
...Alright...be strong...Madison...
Wings spread on her back as her clothes transform into her regular kimono, the pants now a skirt. The top of her kimono looks the same till the bottom of the breasts, in which a band goes across, her modified haori flowing out from under the band over her skirt, the cut off showing off her lean stomach and bellybutton. Winglike attachments connect to her arms and attach onto her back. As she is revealed from her light, her larger wings flap hard, sending Devena to her knees.
"How? How are you this strong?" Devena says, infuriated by Madison's spiritual pressure.
Madison holds out her arm, Mamori in bow n' arrow form.
"It's over." Madison says as she pulls back an arrow on the string of the bow.
"No..." Devena says as she begins to stumble back.
"Forgive me, Yattamori." Madison says, "Bankai, JUMON MAMORI-KOUDOUTAI(Spell of the Zodiac Charmer), MAISOU ITEZA CHIJUU(10,000 Sagittarius Burial).
Within seconds, thousands of arrows shoot from her bow, leaving no escape for Devena.
Devena grits her teeth in irritation and true hatred.
"D-Damn you!" Devena yells, before disappearing into nothing.
As the attack ends, her bow disapates into the wind. She smiles and sighs.
"I won...Toshiro...I won.." Madison says as her bankai fades.
She looks over to see Toshiro still laying on the ground. She hurries over as fast as she can, exhaustion taking hold of her body. When she comes to stand next to him, her knees give out under her, leaving her kneeling next to him.
"I guess I wasn't as ready as I thought I was to use bankai. I'm tired..." Madison says, before chuckling, "I guess I'm just hopeless, aren't I Toshiro."
Slowly, she reaches out her hand to touch his wounded back, a yellow light spawning from her hand.
"I'll heal you as best I can, but I'm afraid I can't do much in my condition."
Slowly, the world begins to become darker. Suddenly she falls to the side, unable any longer to keep her body up to heal him. Her eyes begin to blur.
...crap, I'm going unconscious...this isn't good...we'll both bleed out...
Sudden footsteps alarm her. She looks up to see a familiar outline standing above Toshiro and her. The being crouches down and takes hold of her hand.
"Thank you...Shecker, you saved us...thank you." the familiar voice says.
Madison tries to grin as the darkness finally takes hold.
...that's something I can live with as my final words...yeah, that's good enough...
Darkness.

Death and Reincarnation (Madison Shecker's Story) pt. 37

"...Seeing what just happened, I sad to say I am actually glad that I'm not the one who holds Devena inside me. But, then again, I can't believe that I just saw what I did. I have never seen what I look like when I'm under Devena's influence. And, to say the truth, I'm glad I haven't. It's like I'm starring into the dark, evil, blood-red eyes of the true Devil. I cringe not only because my injury I got protecting Toshiro, but because I'm appauld with myself to know that inside me, there is a true evil hidden away in the shadows of my mind. And not only that, I hurt people I care aboout in this state, including my best friend..."

Toshiro's Perspective
Toshiro stares in shock as Shecker stands above him, a blade sticking out of her lower left side. Suddenly, the blade turns, causing Shecker grunt in agony, before it disappears back out where it came in. Instantly, she begins to fall backwards, luckily to be caught by him. He instantly turns her over to be relieved. The sword had only pierced the muscle on her left side. She slowly opened her eyes, and tries to smirk up at him.
"You never listen, do you?" Shecker says, her eyes barely showing life.
"Madison, I-I-" Toshiro starts as Madison begins to sit up.
"We have no time for apologizes, we have something else to worry about at the moment." Shecker says as she tries to stand, holding her side. trying to keep scarlet blood from draining more.
"W-What do you mean?" Toshiro asks.
"She means you're gonna die, boy." a high pitch voice says from behind him.
Toshiro turns and gasps, to see glaring red eyes starring him down from above him.
...Yattamori held Devena, not Shecker...but how?...
Toshiro stares in horror as Yattamori, now Devena, stands there, smirking at him. Her now white hair blows away in the wind, revealing her other red eye.
"Hello, so nice to see you again after all this time." Devena says, moving her bangs from in front of her right eye.
"So, it was you, Yattamori was the one that held you!" Toshiro yells.
Devena chuckles.
"Yes, it's true, and man, the look on your face as he was about to kill you was absolutely histarical!" Devena laughs at Shecker.
Toshiro grits his teeth.
"Bite your tongue!" Toshiro yells, surprising Devena and Shecker, "You have no right to be making fun of her, at least she doesn't have to be tucked away in the back of Madison's mind!"
"Now you you bite your own tongue!" Devena snaps, angered by Toshiro's comment, before smirking, "Are you kidding? Shecker is also a spirit that's had to be locked away in the back of Yattamori's mind."
"What are you talking about?" Toshiro asks.
"You're serious? Whenever Madison comes to this world, Shecker is taken into the back of the mind while Yattamori controls the body and thought, the only reason neither of them realized this is because their souls were merged." Devena explains.
Toshiro catches his breath then turns to Shecker, whos still standing behind him.
"M-Madison, is that true?" Toshiro asks.
She sighs and looks up.
"Yes, it is." Shecker says, before Devena begins to laugh louder then before.
"See? Now, taking that into consideration, aren't you happy that it was Yattamori I took over?-" Devena starts.
"NO! I'll never be happy with you inhabiting the body that used to belong to that of one of my friends, it's unforgivable!" Shecker snaps infuriated by Devena's comment.
Devena raises an eyebrow.
"Hmm? Is that so? Well then, now knowing that..." Devena starts before disappearing, reappearing again behind Shecker, "...I feel no hesitation in taking your life."
...Shecker!...
As Devena swings her own Mamori towards the unprepared Shecker, Toshiro flashsteps in front of her just in time to be able to perry her attack. Devena laughs as she keeps striking and pushing at Toshiro again and again with her blade, her sword showing no remorse everytime it comes back to meet his own blade in a pool of sparks. With a minute, Devena jumps back, allowing Toshiro to take a moment to breath.
"Toshiro!" Shecker yells as she rushes to his side.
As he pants as he looks up at her, worry and fear shinning bright in her eyes. He tries his best to grin.
"I'm alright Madison, don't worry. We'll get her, somehow." Toshiro say as he stands back up.
Suddenly, Devena appears behind him, her sword ready at her side.
"Die." Devena whispers.
Before Toshiro can react, Shecker pushes him to the side, then makes a hand gesture.
"Barrier!" she yells.
Luckily, right before Devena's sword hits, the barrier appears, and saves them. Devena snears in irritation at the two of them, then laughs.
"You're joking right, do you really think such a weak barrier, could stand up to my power?" Devena says.
Shecker and Toshiro look up in surprise.
"What?" Toshiro says.
Without warning, Devena begins to glow black/purple, the energy surging around all three of them.
"Crap, she's releasing shikai!" Shecker yells.
Toshiro's eyes widen.
"She has this much power in shikai?!" Toshiro asks.
"Well, remember that she's also absorbing Yattamori's power, so it isn't all her's." Shecker explains.
Toshiro turns from facing Shecker to look at Devena, who's now engulfed by the black/purple glow. He grits his teeth and stares down at the ground, then beats his fist into the dirt, surprising Shecker.
"T-Toshiro-" Shecker starts.
"This is my fault." Toshiro states.
"What? no it's not!-" Shecker reacts.
"Yes it is, if I hadn't asked you to go scouting with me, then this would of never happened." Toshiro snaps.
Shecker catches her breath in surprise, then turns away.
"See, I am to blame, so, to pay back for what happened, I'll defeat Devena-" Toshiro says.
"What! Are you crazy?!" Shecker snaps.
"No, I'm not! I'm doing what's right!-"
"It's not right if you end up getting injured or killed!" Shecker snaps.
Toshiro shuts up as Devena begins to appear out of the energy. He and Shecker stare in shock at her wings, which instead of being pure white, are pure black, the weapon of her choice being still the sword version of Mamori Koudoutai. Toshiro grits his teeth and stands, surprising Shecker as he slowly begins to glow blue.
"T-Toshiro?-" Shecker starts.
"Reign over the frosted heavens, Hyorinmaru!" Toshiro yells, also being engulfed by his energy.
"Toshiro!" Shecker yells, in shock.
When he reappears, his appearance hasn't changed, but his sword now has a chain and strange looking cresant shaped weapon on the end attached to his sword. He stares down Devena.
"What's this? Are you planning on fighting me?" Devena laughs, "You realize that since I have both Yattamori's strengh and my own, it means I will beat you about three times harder, right?"
"I don't care about that. You will die by my blade and I'll do it here and now!" Toshiro yells, running from Shecker's protective barrier, before flashstepping to reappear about 10 feet above Devena.
"Toshiro-!" Shecker yells.
"Stay where you are Madison, you're too injured to fight." Toshiro snaps as he throws his sword down on Devena, causing a large amounts of sparks.
Devena smirks.
"Such a dumb boy..." Devena says as she disappears, taking Toshiro by surprise, before reappearing right behind him, "You're blind bravery is your ultimate dimise, Toshiro Hitsugaya."
Without regret, she stabs her blade into Toshiro's back, running it through to the other side.
...H-How?...That's...impossible...
"TO-TOSHIRO!" Shecker yells as Devena pulls back her blade, releasing Toshiro.
He falls to his hands and knees, coughing slight bites of scarlet blood.
Shecker watches in horror. He turns back towards her and tries to grin.
"S-Sorry, Madison." Toshiro whispers.
Suddenly, Devena's foot barrels into Toshiros stomach, sending him flying about 20 feet.
When he lands, he's met by Devena's foot again, stomping his stomach again hard into the ground.
"Such an idiot you are. I sometimes wonder why Yattamori cares so much for a scoundrel like you." Devena says as she glares down at him, "Even though we share the same body, I must say that instead of finding you funny and somewhat attractive like her, I see you as a vile and disgusting white rat who needs to be erased."
Devena raises her sword above her head, showing no remorse.
"Now die, rodent."
As it swings down, Toshiro finds himself bracing for death, leaving no regrets but one.
...I wish I could save you, Shecker, I really do...

Pt. 36, EARLY RELEASE!!

Want to go ahead and get this part out, so here's pt. 36, enjoy :-)

Maddie

Death and Reincarnation (Madison Shecker's Story) pt. 36

"...Who knew that I looked so...heroic when I died 14 years ago? Ok, I know that probably sounds strange to people who have absolutely no idea what the heck happened to me, but it's true. Standing here, watching Yattamori sacrifice her own safety to protect Toshiro is truly incredible in my eyes, considering she is me. But, as I watch, another, darker feeling is creeping up in my body. Could it be that it's Devena? Am I the one who holds her and will end up being killed? Or am I just scaring myself into believing that I hold her? Man, I wish I was back in that store in Karakura Town in the World of the Living, because in truth, I could really use another day of having Yattamori as my friend, not an enemy..."

Madison Shecker's Perspective
Madison gawks in horror at Yattamori as she stands over Toshiro, an arrow stabbed into her mid right side.
"Ma-Madison!" Madison yells, still up in the air.
"Ya-Yattamori!" Toshiro yells, staring up at her.
Yattamori grunts in pain as she falls to her knees, the pain of the arrow shocking her nerves. Toshiro rushes to her side.
"Yattamori, are you alright?" Toshiro asks.
Yattamori looks up at him, the light disappearing from her eyes.
"I-I'm fine. Don't worry, I'll be fine." Yattamori says, trying to take in air, "But what about you? Are you hurt?"
"Never mind me. You're seriously injured." Toshiro says, trying to help her back to her feet.
"But-But the duel-" Yattamori starts.
"Forget the duel! You need medical attention, now!"
"I can't stop fighting until Devena is destroyed."
Toshiro grits his teeth in irriatation. Madison slowly sinks in the sky until she is on ground, still in shock from what she has just done as she tooo falls to her knees. Her hands quiver, and her bow shakes irractically. She looks down at her weapon, disgusted by it's every part and thread. She tries to throw it from her hand, put her hand won't become unclentched around the straight of the bow. At the occuarance, her heart begins to beat hard.
...Why can't I let go?!...
Suddenly, she feels herself rise to her feet, not controlling her limbs at all.
...Wha-What?!...
Slowly, her right arm reaches across her bow, the way she makes an arrow appear. Her eyes become full of fear, knowing that since she no longer has control of any of her limbs. As her arrow appears, she feels her arm begin to draw it back on the the thread. She cracks in fear.
"Toshiro, take Yattamori and move!" Madison yells.
Toshiro turns his head, and moves just in time to dodge the speeding arrow. Madison sighs in relief, glad she actually missed.
"What are you doing?!" Toshiro yells holding Yattamori by holding her arm over his shoulder.
"I-I don't have control of my body!" she yells back, "You need to get out of here!"
Toshiro gasps in shock, then looks down. Madison watches in confusion as Toshiro places Yattamori on the ground, before to turning back to face her. Suddenly, she begins to get back the feeling in her arms, allowing her to gain back control of them. She smiles.
...I have control again...
She looks back up to see Toshiro walking closer to her, his sword at his side. Her heart skips a beat.
...He thinks I have Devena...
She begins to become scared.
"T-Toshiro?" Madison says.
"Forgive me Shecker..." Toshiro say as he stops, standing above her now.
Her eyes widen in shock.
"Y-You don't think I-" Madison asks.
He looks away, not wanting to look at her face.
"Y-You don't think I am Devena's holder, do you?!"
He looks back at her.
"I have no choice but to think that.."
Madison gasps in disbelif.
"N-No..."
Slowly, Toshiro's sword rises above his head, he not able to look at her at all.
Madison looks away as tears begin to run down her face, only to be surprised by a smirking face off in the shadows of the cliff.
The women seems to be wearing a dark cloth, her shoulders and head the oly thing not hidden by the cape-like attire. Her hair is jet, black, but her eyes that of the same scarlet color as Devena's, cold and deadly, wanting nothing but see running blood. Suddenly, she realizes what has happened.
She turns back and rises to her feet, stopping Toshiro's arm as it begins to swing down. Her actions surprise him, probably only fueling his suspicions of her keeping Devena.
"What do you think you're doing?!' Toshiro yells.
"Stop! You don't know what you're doing!" Madison yells back.
"You can't delay your death. You are the one that owns Devena!"
"Toshiro, listens to me! I now know why I couldn't control my body-!"
"I know too, it's because Devena is beginning to sweep out of you!"
"Will you just listen to me for one minute!?"
"I can't waist your time, I have to destroy Devena now!"
"Just let me explain!"
"It's too late to explain anything! I'm sorry, but I've got to do this!"
Toshiro somehow grees himself from Madison's grip and shoves her back, knocking her to her knees. He points his sword at her neck, stopping her before she can get back on her feet.
"Please Madison, don't make this harder then it is." Toshiro says, raising his sword back above his head.
Madison stays silent.
"Tell, me Toshiro, why don't you believe Yattamori is holding Devena?" Madison asks.
Toshiro is surprised by his question.
"Be-Because."
"Because what?"
"Just because-"
Because what Toshiro-?"
"Because she saved me!"
His answer shuts Madison up.
"She saved me from being injured or killed again, and it's time that I least return the favor by finishing her battle." Toshiro explains.
Madison looks away. He sighs and raises his sword once more.
"I"m sorry." Toshiro says as he begins to swing.
One glance later, Madison dodges his attack, and turns him to be behind her, only to meet white hair and red eyes staring at her as a blade stabs into her right upper chest.

Death and Reincarnation (Madison Shecker's Story) pt. 35

"...How exactly do you fight a battle against yourself when you in this one being have no recollection of even learning how to wield a sword? I mean, I know some basic techniques from my two training sessions with Yattamori, but that's about it. Everything else is all in Yattamori's knowledge, unknown to me. So, with my, less then appreciated abilities, how the heck am I supposed to fight against this girl who is in reality myself. And how will I do it in front of Toshiro? God, and to top it off, one of us will have to die after being proved of having Devena. I know it's mean, but please, let me live..."

SOUL SOCIETY
Squad T.P. Captain's Quarters
Madison Shecker's Perspective
Madison sighs as she sits up on the couch, the winter clouds hanging stiff in the air, meaning that it will probably rain. She slowly removes her blanket and walks through the doorway to her bedroom, where Yattamori lays, still sleeping. She looks over and grabs a pillow from the fancy chair and throws it at her, hitting her in the face. The impact jolts her to consciousness, she looks everywhere.
"Wha-What?" Yattamori says, her voice cracking to life.
"Time to get up." Madison says as she walks away to the bathroom.
Yattamori groans, but sits up and stretches, before gasping slightly.
"Shecker." Yattamori calls.
"Yeah?"  Madison answers.
"It's been four days..."
Madison falls silent. She had forgotten that the date was "D-Day", as she and Yattamori called it. The day they would have to duel...to the death...
"Yeah, I know." Madison answers, her voice quieter.
"What are we gonna do?" Yattamori says as she rubs her forehead.
"It's obvious, we're gonna have to fight."
"But-"
"No buts, we have no choice in this situation."
Yattamori becomes speechless, then looks away. A moment later, she chuckles.
"I finally can see how exactly we were spilt." Yattamori says.
"Huh?" Madison replies.
"Ever since we've been spilt up, we've been acting like almost complete opposites. I'm more energetic, you're more calm and collected. I'm silly, you're mature. I'm loud, you're quiet."
"But, I'm not usually any of those things-" Madison starts.
"I know. I think that our emotions and ways of acting were separated. I'm usually the one who's mature-" Yattamori continues.
"And I'm usually who's giggly and stuff-"
"Exactly." Yattamori finishes.
They sit there for a minute, thinking over the information just passed. Madison breaks the silence and sighs, before walking away to get both Yattamori's and her clothes. Unlike the last time, Madison gets out jeans and a tee, while Yattamori will wear the usual kimono and haori. They don't speak, not wanting to make the other burst into tears over the fact that one of them will die. After about 20 minutes, they walk out of their home, to see Toshiro waiting at the gate. They smile bitter sweetly, before making the same emotionless frown, one similar to the one Toshiro makes when he's irritated or depressed.
"Hey." Toshiro says.
"Hello." Madison answers.
"Hi." Yattamori answers too.
"Are you ready for this duel?" Toshiro asks.
"Ready enough." Yattamori answers as they begin to walk.
"I wish that we could live for one more day." Madison says.
Toshiro and Yattamori turn towards her.
"I wish I could see my family one more time." Madison comments before stopping in her tracks.
It isn't until now that she realizes that she might not get to see her family again. Not her mom, not her dad, not even her siblings or dog. Her eyes widen in fear.
"I might not see my family again. I MIGHT NOT SEE MY FAMILY AGAIN!" Madison yells, falling to the ground.
"Shecker, calm down!" Yattamori yells.
"What about my mom and dad-?!" Madison yells.
"Madison! Calm down." Toshiro says, taking hold of her face in his hands, stopping her in mid-breath, "You need to get a grip. You don't know yet if you're the one holding Devena, do you?"
Madison looks away, then looks back up at him.
"N-No, but-" Madison starts.
"But nothing! You have to think positive until the time comes." Toshiro says, letting go of her, and sighing, "You both still have a chance at surviving, so until then, you have to think like you'll both live."
"I have been trying to, but it doesn't help when you're telling her that she probably doesn't have Devena, putting me on the chopping block." Yattamori says, slightly irritated.
"Sorry." Toshiro says.
"We need to get going, or else one of us will change before we can even get there." Madison says as she gets up and begins to walk forward.
"Madison, wait-" Toshiro says.
Before he can take hold of her forearm, she flashsteps out of nowhere to disappear into thin air. As she flashes past trees and all nearby, faces of her friends also begin to fill her head. She shakes her head as to throw the thoughts and images from her mind, not wanting to begin to cry in front of Toshiro or Yattamori. Seeing the past few days also past through her mind, Madison sees another little quirk about Yattamori that she seems to have.
She was given happiness and the strength to smile through anything, while she was given the strong mind, but weak heart and spirit, as well as the ability to cry...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Madison Yattamori's Perspective
After finally catching up with Shecker, Toshiro and Madison find themselves back at the Squad 1 training grounds, the same place she had fought Byakuya. Now, thinking about it, it was also probably the first time Devena surfaced, explaining why she couldn't remember the last part of it. She looks over at Shecker. Though trying to look unmoved or scared, the drying tear lines on her cheeks told a completely different story. She feels bad, seeing as how Shecker might not get to see her family again. Madison sighs before looking back forward.
"Well, let's get this over with." Madison says as she pulls Mamori from thin air.
Shecker nods and does the same, another Mamori in her hand. They walk to the middle of the grounds, then take about seven or eight back. Without regret, Shecker puts her blade in front of her, trying not to tremble. Madison does the same.
"All or nothing duel. By the end, one of us will be revealed to have Devena and sentenced to death, while the other walks away without a scratch." Madison says, "But until that time, let's try to be as clean as possible, agreed?"
Shecker nods.
"Agreed." Shecker says, before looking at Toshiro.
He also nodes.
"I'll call off the go." Toshiro says.
Madison and Shecker become more tense, holding their Mamori's tighter.
"On your mark." Toshiro says.
"Good luck." Shecker calls.
"Get set." Toshiro says.
Madison gulps.
"Good luck.." Madison whispers.
"DUEL!" Toshiro yells.
The two flashstep, only for them to meet blade on blade seconds later. For minutes on end, they do the same thing over and over again. Until finally they push each other apart, and Madison groans.
"We aren't getting anywhere with this!" Madison yells.
"So?" Shecker yells back.
A green aura begins to form around Madison, surprising Shecker.
"Wha-What are you doing?" Shecker says.
"What we should of done at the beginning." Madison says as she holds Mamori blade down, it as well emanating lime-green light.
"BLOW ACROSS THE STARS, MAMORI KOUDOUTAI!" Madison yells, before being encased by bright lime-green light.
Within moments, the light fades, revealing Madison again, white wings on her back and a green Pisces whip held tight in her grip.
"Madison..." Shecker says.
"Activate your sword, Shecker!" Madison calls, pointing her hand at Shecker.
Shecker stares at Madison, before stepping back, as if she's scared.
"Madison!" Toshiro calls.
Shecker turns towards him, surprised by his voiced.
"Release Mamori. You have no choice in this matter." Toshiro says.
Shecker stares at him for a moment, before looking away in thought, starring down at the ground. Madison takes Shecker's moment of thought as an opening, and takes on a surprise attack. As she throws down the whip, Shecker's spiritual pressure suddenly rises, and lime-green light begins to morph around her. The action takes Madison by surprise, sending her flying backwards about 10 feet before her wings stabilizes her. She watches as the same thing that happened to her just moments ago occurs once again to Shecker. Within moments, Shecker is revealed to have the same white wings as Madison, but her Mamori hasn't become that of the Pisces whip. Instead, it's a bow n' arrow, meaning that Shecker is using Sagittarius. Usually, in Shi-kai, only the zodiac type of the time period your using it can be used. For example, she can use Pisces whip, but not her Aquarius Triton, seeing as how it's no longer the Aquarius time period. But, Sagittarius is an exception. Unlike the other 11 zodiac types, Sagittarius can be summoned at anytime, because Sagittarius is her own zodiac sign.
Madison smiles.
"Now fight, Shecker!" Madison yells as she twists her whip again, piercing scales.
Shecker draws her bow and pulls the arrow back, before releasing, sending the now five arrows straight through the scales, stopping them in mid-flight. As they clash, Shecker flies past towards Madison, restringing her bow and aiming it at Madison. She releases more arrows, Madison barely able to dodge as more come from different directions. Madison grits her teeth.
...She wasn't this coordinated the last time she used Mamori's Sagittarius release...
Suddenly, from nowhere, Shecker appears from behind her. She turns and stares right into Shecker's eyes, to see the life and joy drained from them, as if she is no longer there.
She feels her heart skip a beat.
...Devena...
Shecker shoots just to have Madison dodge. Though, when she turns back, she sees a less happy picture. Not paying attention at the moment, Toshiro has his back turned to them, and the arrow Shecker just shot is speeding towards him.
Life reenters Shecker's eyes as she realizes what's happened.
"To-Toshiro!" Shecker yells.
Toshiro turns, and gasps as he sees the arrow.
"MOVE!" Shecker screams.
Though, it will be too late. Without thinking, Madison acts.
...I can't let him get hurt!...
She flashsteps, and the next thing she sees is scarlet and Toshiro's shocked expression starring up at her.

Death and Reincarnation (Madison Shecker's Story) pt. 34

"...Walking around is so much fun when you've got nothing to worry about. The sun is brighter, the sky is bluer, and seeing how my pocket is full of cash, shopping is a definite must. And, it doesn't hurt that both Toshiro and my otherself are here too to enjoy this too. Why can't we take more breaks like this? I mean, it's nice to just have a day to just unwind, let your hair down, and take time to smell the roses, 'cause, in our world, in our situation, times like these are to come by..."

WORLD OF THE LIVING
Toshiro's Perspective
Withiin seconds of the white light fading around the Madisons and him, Toshiro finds himself tripping his over his own feet as he's being pushed out of the mini senkaimon. Confused as he is, it's not a surprise that moments later he's landed on his butt in the brown grass of a field, Yattamori and Shecker laughing at him from behind. He turns and glares.
"Shut up." Toshiro says as he gets up, wiping his pants of grass and dirt.
"S-Sorry, it's just that you never do stuff that stupid!" Yattamori says, laughing.
"Well, it's not my fault, I've ever gone through that way before!" Toshiro yells.
"Ok, ok, we'll stop." Shecker says as her laughter begins to subside.
For about another minute, the two laugh before quieting, tears falling from their faces from their extreme cackling.
"Ok, we're officailly done." Yattamori says as she wipes one of her eyes of tears.
"Great, now let's go." Toshiro says as he begins walk.
"Alright." Shecker says as the Madisons begin to follow.
For about 15 minutes, the trio walk, random conversations popping up along the way. Finally, Shecker spots something.
"Hey, there's some buildings beginning to pop up." Shecker says as she points at the nearing top of a building.
"Looks like we're almost there." Yattamori comments.
"Good, I want to begin shopping as soon as possible." Shecker says, smiling.
"God, you're such girls." Toshiro comments.
"We are girls." Both Shecker and Yattamori answer.
"I know. But you're being super girly right now." Toshiro explains.
"At least Rangiku isn't here." Shecker comments.
"Yeah, she would of made you carry her bags." Yattamori starts.
"Then make you lend her money when she ran out." Shecker finishes.
The two laugh as Toshiro think of it, both of them probably right on how the events would play.
"I swear, Rangiku is one of the laziest people I've ever met." Toshiro says.
"Some would say the same about you-" Yattamori starts.
"What's that's supposed to mean?!" Toshiro interupts, glaring at Yattamori.
"She means that all of us can be annoying at times, now c'mon before I leave you two behind." Shecker says as she pushes to two of the to a nearby road, a bus waiting.
When they get on, Toshiro and Shecker go ahead as Yattamori stops to pay the driver their fees, before quickly following behind. They choose a seating of three near the back of the bus, passing people of old age and those who looked about their age, though all three of them were actually closer to the age of the old age seniors. After about 10 minutes, one of the kids that look younger then them by about a year or two come up to them.
"Hey, are you new to this town?" a girl asks.
The girl has short, dark blonde/light brown hair, and big brown eyes. Her dress is light blue, a pink strip running down the side.
"Uh, we're just visiting the town, that's all." Yattamori says.
"Oh, really? That's too bad, I would loved to go to school with, white-haired boy." she says.
"How old do you think we are?" Toshiro asks.
"You're a grade schooler, right?"  she asks.
"GRADE SCHOOLER!" Toshiro yells, getting all the bus goers' attention.
Both Shecker and Yattamori cover his mouth, trying to quiet him.
"Uh, actually, we're in high school. Toshiro is just short is all." Shecker says, irritating Toshiro further.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to anger him." the girl says.
"It's alright, you didn't know." Yattamori finishes.
"Fill wu weft wo of we?!" Toshiro says through the Madison's hands.
"What?" Yattamori asks, releasing her hand.
"I said will you let go of me?!" Toshiro says, his voice clearer now.
"Oh, sorry." Shecker says.
"So, are you two twins?" the girl asks, talking to the Madisons.
"Uh...yes, we are." Shecker says.
"I'm Madison and this is...um..." Yattamori says, leaning over to look at Shecker on the other side of Toshiro.
"Uh...Mizuki, I'm Mizuki." Shecker says, trying to think of a compelling name.
"Madison and Mizuki. I like your names." The girl says, before pointing at Toshiro, "And I'm guessing your name is Toshiro, right?"
"That's correct." Toshiro says, trying not to say something harsh.
"Oh, well, I'm Yuzu, nice to meet you." the girl says, holding out her hand to Shecker.
Shecker grins and takes hold of Yuzu's hand, shaking it nicely before releasing.
"So, where are you guys going?" Yuzu asks.
"None of your-" Toshiro starts.
"-We're going shopping downtown." Yattamori interrupts.
"Oh, sounds like fun." Yuzu comments.
"Where are you going?" Shecker asks.
"Oh, I'm going home. You see, I have to make dinner for tonight. My dad is horrible, Karin is as bad as him, and my brother, well, I don't know if he can cook or not." Yuzu explains.
"What about your mom? Can't she cook?" Yattamori asks.
Yuzu becomes silent.
"Yuzu...?" Shecker says.
"My mom...is dead..." Yuzu says quietly.
Toshiro watches as the Madisons look at each other with guilt, before looking back at her.
"I-I'm sorry. I had no idea-" Yattamori starts.
"I-It's ok. I mean, it was so long ago." Yuzu reassures them, before picking up a nearby grocery bag, "Well, this is my stop, goodbye Madison, Mizuki, and Toshiro."
She waits a moment before the doors open, then walks quietly out before the door shuts hard behind her. As the bus pulls away, the Madisons sigh.
"I feel like a complete jerk." Yattamori comments.
"Dido." Shecker agrees, slumping in her seat.
Toshiro sighs.
"It's not your fault. You two didn't know about her mother." Toshiro says.
"But still, I feel bad." Shecker says.
Toshiro feels himself beginning to become irritated.
"Will you two stop pouting?! Now cheer up and get ready to get off. Our stop is next." Toshiro says to the two, causing them to be stunned.
"O-Ok." Yattamori answers as Toshiro walks towards the door.
He rolls his eyes as he looks towards the passing buildings and stores. As he looks around, a quiet thought passes through his mind. One that hadn't gone by in a least 30 years.
...What happened to my mother?...

7:30 p.m.
Madison Yattamori's Perspective
"I love these boots!" Madison says as she holds up a flat, black-leather, knee-length boot.
"Yattamori, those boots are almost 62 hundred yen(80 dollars)!" Toshiro says, irritated.
"So, I think they're cute. Besides, it's not like I'm using your money."
"Yes you are. Remember, you ran out of money at the last department store."
"Hey, it's not my fault! Matsuzakaya has all the cutest clothes!"
"You're turning into Matsumoto!" Toshiro yells.
"I'll pay for her boots. Now both of you calm down." Shecker says, pushing Madison and Toshiro apart.
"Shecker, you don't have to pay. It's your money." Toshiro says.
"Yattamori and I are the same person, so it makes sense that I pay." Shecker answers.
"But-" Toshiro starts.
"No, buts, now come one, let's try on some of these clothes." Madison says as she takes both Shecker's and her stack of clothes, before pulling Shecker away by her wrist.
After a few minutes, Madison walks out of her dressing room, smiling big. She turns towards the mirror, finally seeing how the dress she picked looks. The dress is a dark green print sundress, lace trim lining about the last three inches down the dress. The print is one of roses, the dark green fabric making the flowers stand out beautifully. The same lace the trims the ends also ties around her waist, finishing the look. She turns towards Toshiro, who's sitting in a chair a few feet away.
"Well, how do I look?" she asks.
She tries not to laugh at his slightly red cheeks.
"Y-You look nice." Toshiro answers.
"Yattamori, I don't want to come out." Shecker says from inside her dressing room.
"What? Why not?" Madison asks.
"I don't think this dress looks right." Shecker answers.
"C'mon, it can't be that bad. Let me see." Madison says as she comes to stand in front of Shecker's door.
"I-I don't know-" Shecker starts.
"Shecker, get your butt out here." Madison interupts.
Madison hears Shecker sigh from the other side of the door as the lock makes a click, meaning she is coming out. As Shecker opens the door, Madison falls silent.
"Wha-What?" Shecker asks.
"Look in the mirror." Madison says quieter than before.
"What's wrong?" Shecker asks.
"Just look." Madison orders.
Shecker looks towards the the mirror and gasps slightly. Madison smiles as she gazes at Shecker's dress. The dark-purple dress is a one off-shoulder, beading running down into the empire-waist bodice, more of the same beading running through her waist. From there, the pleated skirt runs beautifully to half-way down her thigh, a sheer overskirt making it even more glamourous. A loose tight sleeve runs from the the off-shoulder, getting looser on the way down. And, for some reason, her hair-style looked great with it, making Madison wish that she had maybe shorter hair. Madison turns towards Toshiro, who's now blushing even more then before.
"Doesn't she look great?" Madison asks.
"Yeah..." Toshiro says, staring at Shecker, probably only half-hearing her.
"I-I don't know-" Shecker starts as she turns back towards Madison.
"What?! That dress looks perfect on you!" Madison snaps.
"It does look nice, but-" Shecker starts again.
"But nothing, you are buying that dress!" Madison yells.
Shecker smiles.
"A-Alright. I will." Shecker says, before turning towards Toshiro, "Now, it's your turn."
Toshiro begins to look alarmed.
"Wh-What?!" Toshiro says.
"You didn't think you were coming without trying something on, did you?" Shecker says, "Yattamori, get the secret stack."
Madison smiles.
"Got it!" Madison says as she runs towards her dressing room.
"What?! You can't make me try on clothes!" Toshiro yells.
Shecker takes hold of his arm as Madison walks back out with a large heap of clothes.
"Sorry dude, but you must of expected this." Shecker says as she forces him into a dressing room.
"Madison!" Toshiro yells as he turns back towards them.
Madison throws the large stack at him, causing him to forget them for a moment, trying to catch the incoming heap.
"There you go. We'll give you five minutes to get into your first outfit. Have fun!" Madison says as she shuts the door.
Before Toshiro can reopen the door, Madison and Shecker lean against the door, making it impossible for Toshiro to escape.
"You two are such jerks, you know that?!" Toshiro yells from the other side of the door.
"We've realized, now get dressed!" Shecker says.
Toshiro grunts for a minute or two before they finally hear him beginning to undress. Five minutes later, Toshiro knocks.
"I'm dressed, now let me out." Toshiro says, irritation in his voice.
"Alright." Madison says as she opens the door.
Toshiro steps out and turns towards the mirror. His shirt is a simple black, long sleeved t-shirt. Two chains hanging across the top of the shirt, making it look cooler. For pants, he wears dark wash jeans, a few holes in them, one on the right knee, making him look more rebel.
"I like it." Madison says.
"Are you sure it doesn't make him look too rebellious?" Shecker asks.
"But he is rebellious." Madison comments.
"True-" Shecker starts.
"You know, I can hear you, right?!" Toshiro snaps.
"Sorry." both Madison and Shecker say.
"Now, go in and try on something else." Shecker says as she pushes him back towards the dressing room.
"No, you've already seen me in something-" Toshiro starts.
"-Too late." Madison interupts as she slams the door, before giving Shecker a high-five.
After about another hour of abusing Toshiro with clothing, the trio finally make it to the cash register.
"That will be a total of 61,496 yen (800 dollars)." the cashier says.
Shecker's and Toshiro's jaws drop as Madison opens both their wallets and seven 10,000 yen bills, smiling as she does so. People standing around them stare in ah as the three take their bags and walk out.
"How on earth do we still have money?" Shecker ask as she opens her wallet, still seeing about 10 more 10,000 yen bills, and more.
"Because, like smart people, we save our money." Madison says.
"Then how come you ran out?" Toshiro asks.
"Because I only had about 10,000 yen in the first place."  Madison answers.
"So, who's hungry?" Shecker asks, trying to change the subject.
"I am." Madison says.
"I am too. Let's try to find a place to eat." Toshiro says as he begins to look around.
"Hey, that place looks good." Madison says, pointing to a big building across the street.
Shecker and Toshiro follow her finger to the building. A small line is out front of the eatery. They look close to see the name.
"Kanki Seitou(Traditional Delight), huh." Toshiro says.
"That place looks expensive." Shecker says.
"Who said it is?" Madison asks.
"The people walking in and out are wearing cocktail dresses and suits." Shecker answers.
"So, then we'll have to wear our new dresses." Madison says.
"Are you crazy! We just bought them!" Shecker yells.
"So, why not try them out." Madison says, before pulling them into a nearby store, "And Toshiro can wear that cute new jacket we got him, now come on."
15 minutes later, Madison finds herself walking into the Kanki Seitou with Shecker and Toshiro following close behind. Luckily, Madison had bought more then one dress. The one she is wearing now is a sleeveless teen-made, cocktail dress. The top is a light blue satin, the skirt the same color muted by a brown, sheer, over skirt that has gold beading working down to the bottom of the dress, which only reaches the middle of her thighs. And around her waist is a brown sash, looking as if it ties in the back. Gold heels, a gold chunky bracelet, and her choker/necklace completed the look, her hair covering her ears, not needing earrings.
Shecker wears the dress from the last they went to, match with silver flats, a chunky silver bracelet, an arm band on the upper part of the sleeveless arm, her cross necklace, and simple chandelier earrings complete her look. Her hair is more groomed, a diamond barrette in her hair. While Toshiro wears designer dark-wash jeans picked out by her, a simple, dark gray, long-sleeved shirt picked out by Shecker, under a black, Calvin Klein original jacket picked out by her, matched by black chucks picked out by Toshiro, and a small, silver tie, picked by Shecker.
"Table for three, please." Madison says.
The man looks at her for a minute, before looking down at his spread sheet.
"Right this way, Ma'am." the man says as he begins walk away, menus in his hand.
Madison, Shecker, and Toshiro follow him for a minute until they get to a table right next to a large window over looking the busy streets below, a piano playing nearby. The waiter quickly sits them and gives them their menus.
"Your server will be with you shortly." the man says, before walking off.
"Wow, I didn't think that he would let us right in." Shecker says.
"I know, I thought we would have to wait a hour, at least." Toshiro agrees.
"But, we did get in, that's all that matters. And, from the look of these prices, we should be able to afford a appetizer, a full meal, and dessert. So, stop worrying, and enjoy this." Madison says pointing at menu she holds in her hand.
Toshiro and Shecker look at each other for a minute, before smiling.
"Alright, I think I can do that." Toshiro says.
Madison smiles. She happy that they could come tonight, cause, in truth, this would be the last luxury either Shecker or herself would ever experience.
