"...I've never had anything like this ever happen to me before. I don't know how to react to anything, to cry, or scream...or just squeeze my eyes shut and hope my mom will wake me up from a bad dream, as she always does when I'm scared. Though, this time, I know she won't wake me up, for this...this is too real to just be a creation of my imagination. I wish I could fight back, hell, I would even take the option of running if I could in this situation, but it looks like I won't get the chance. He's got me pinned too tight...Even my consciousness is beginning to drain, probably cause I'm thinking too hard, trying to make a connection with someone, anyone...Damn, I wish...even though I must look so helpless....I wish that....Toshiro....would save me!..."

Toshiro's Perspective
"Hmm?"
He looks around, seeing nothing strange in his office as he looks up from his current work papers.
Nothing seems unusual.
He sighs.
...Well that was odd...I thought I heard...Yattamori...
He shakes his head.
"No, that's not possible, she's out training or something, she wouldn't be around here." he says to himself.
He then thinks for a moment.
"Damn it...Now I'm talking to myself. I need to get out more." he comments, looking over to grab his cup of tea.
He blows off the steam before taking the sip, turning in his seat to look out the window. The day seems calm and peaceful, the sun shinning nicely outside, causing him to sigh, as he doesn't like heat, meaning he won't step outside once today.
Looking back at his desk, a stack of his next works, then noticing something sitting at the top. A yellow folder.
Raising an eyebrow, he picks up the folder, feeling that it's heavier then he first imagined.
"What the..." he trails, opening the top.
Placing his hand at the bottom, he shakes the paper, an object soon landing in his hand. With care, he puts aside the folder, picking up a smaller piece of paper that sits on top the larger object.
He unfolds it, reading only the first sentence before he recognizes the handwriting,
Dear Toshiro,
If you're reading this, it must mean you finally found the little present I left in your office. If you remember, a few days before all the stupid memory nonsense, we went to the world of the living for the day. Well, without your knowledge, I took pictures! This is the only one I found that actually turned out pretty well with just us in it, while the others seem to have at least one arm in it from someone else, LOL
Enjoy!
~Yattamori
"Pictures?..." he trails.
Putting down the note, Toshiro turns over the object, which he now recognizes as a picture frame. In it is a simple picture, one of himself with Yattamori.
He grins. In it they're both smiling, a rare happening for him, the sun shining behind them. It appears that she must of taken it while they were getting something to eat, being the only time that Kayla and Bianca weren't hanging all over Mariya, considering that they were knew to the this world at the time, well, newer.
But, it's just them, happy to just be out and about it looks like.
"Heh, I can't believe she actually got a picture of us together, she's sneakier then she looks." Toshiro says, standing.
He looks around.
"Now..should I put it out?" he asks himself, scratching his head.
After a moment, he sighs, setting it on the book shelf behind his desk.
"That works." he says.
"What works Sir?"
He jolts slightly, turning to see Rangiku walking towards him, seeming to of just walked in.
He groans.
"Rangiku, knock before you enter." he says coldly.
"Right," she says with a smirk, before noticing the frame, "What's that?"
Toshiro blinks.
"That? It's nothing." he answers, sitting back down.
"Oh really?" Rangiku says.
Toshiro raises an eyebrow, not liking the tone of her voice.
"Rangiku-" he starts.
"Got it!" Rangiku says, snatching the frame before Toshiro can react.
"H-Hey!" Toshiro stutters, not prepared.
Rangiku laughs, stepping back, holding up the frame to see it better.
"Oooh, a picture of you and Yattamori." Rangiku giggles, "You two look so adorable together!"
"Rangiku, give it back!" Toshiro calls.
"Wow, you two would make such a cute couple Captain!" Rangiku laughs.
"S-Shut up!" Toshiro replies.
"Aww, fine." Rangiku groans, handing it back to him.
Toshiro takes it, placing it back where it had been.
"Though I was serious Captain." Rangiku says.
"Serious about what?" he asks.
"About you two being a cute couple." she answers.
Toshiro stops, his eyes widening. After a moment, his cheeks become warmer.
"Rangiku!-"
She replies with a laugh, turning back towards the door.
"I thought that you should know that Cree has taken the newbies to the World of the Living for the day." Rangiku says, looking over her shoulder.
He blinks.
"What about Yattamori?" he asks.
"She's resting up for the day, catching up some on the Mahinahime case." Rangiku answers, "Maybe you should go see her."
Toshiro sighs.
"Why should I? If I go over there, she'll just get distracted, and I know she wouldn't like that." Toshiro replies.
Rangiku chuckles, opening the door.
"That may be true Sir, but she's your best friend, it's your choice." she says, "See you later Captain."
He turns around, sitting back down in his chair to get back to work as Rangiku looks back at him again, her eyes narrowing warmly, chuckling one more time before she walks out, closing the door nicely behind her.
For a few minutes, Toshiro works, trying to focus himself back on his work, though Rangiku's idea of visiting Yattamori keeps eating at him. He sighs, and turns to grab another stack of papers, when distracted by a something reflecting the sunlight.
He looks up, his eyes widening as he once again sets his eyes on the frame. The light shines on the picture, making Yattamori stand out more.
After a moment, he grins.
"Well, at least I won't have to worry about you for a little while...." he trails, taking hold of the papers.
SHRENK!
His eyes widen as he hears the slicing noise, turning back to see where it came from.
"What the..."
He catches his breath, seeing something different then before. He stands, reaching over for the frame, bringing it close.
"What?" he asks himself.
Now, the glass has cracked, and right over Yattamori.
Unlike usually, when bad things happens he's calm and collected, this kinda has him on edge. Though he doesn't really believe in premonitions, just seeing it has created a knob in his throat.
"Something doesn't feel right..." he says, looking out the window.
T-TOSHIRO!
He jolts, somehow hearing a shriek. Yattamori's shriek.
His heart-beat picks up.
"Y-Yattamori..." he trails.
Without another moment to spare, the glass cracks even more, shattering some in his hand.
That does it. Only seconds pass before Toshiro is running down his barrack walk-way. Turning a corner, he doesn't realize as he passes Rangiku, to focused on getting to where he wants to go.
She blinks in surprise.
"C-Captain?! What's wrong?!" she calls.
He doesn't hear, flashstepping before she even finishes her last sentence.
"Damn, I should really stop jinxing myself." he comments to himself, trying to pick up even more speed.
Though, as he reaches the home, he hears it again, but out loud.
"Toshiro!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mariya's Perspective
She pants, her energy almost warn out from trying to telepathically send a distress call to Toshiro, and from her last out loud attempt. Though above her, Shukaku laughs, amused by her failure.
"Don't even try Captain Yattamori...he's no where to be found." Shukaku chuckles, beginning to kiss at her neck.
"N-No...." she trails.
"The boy isn't gonna save you, you're just gonna have to get over loosing your purity. To tell you the truth.." he raises his head to whisper in her ear, "It's actually quite fun."
The color in her cheeks fade a bit, her hopes dashed slightly. Shukaku notices, taking it as an advantage as he begins to reach around her back.
Her eyes widen, knowing that's trying to undo her bra. With little strength she has against him, she raises her leg with last speed, kneeing him right where it counts. To her advantage, it works, causing him to pull back, apparently in great pain. She chuckles some.
...So, even though he's a bastard, he's still a guy...
Then suddenly, a jolt of pain rips through her body as he slaps her across the face, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Don't you dare try that again, unless you also want to die with your purity!" Shukaku spits, glaring down at her with Rikuto's blue eyes.
She glares back at him, wishing that she could brake free.
After a moment of glaring, Shukaku laughs.
"You really are just a weak girl, It's a dishonor to Nekomata that she had to die by your hand." Shukaku says.
She gasps as he runs his hand back up her body, stopping on her breast.
"D-Damn you.." she says, gritting her teeth.
He smirks.
"Well then, looks like I should finish the job then. It should of taken affect by now."
"W-What?"
Then, Mariya's eyes widen as she senses herself loosing feeling in her limbs, falling limp as they did before, but as she can't move, she finds her strength suddenly zapped, panting as she tries to get air back into her lungs.
....Wh-What did he....do to me?!....
"Wondering what happened?" he asks.
She looks back up at him, her vision starting to blur.
"You see, there's a certain few things that affect humans that don't affect us, such as.." Shukaku explains, pulling out a closed vile, "Such as this little anesthetic here."
She grits her teeth, wishing that she could punch him.
He laughs, probably sensing her distress.
"Probably wishing Hitsugaya was here, huh?" Shukaku asks.
She huffs, almost unconscious as she feels something tighten around the back of her neck. She looks up, watching him rip her pendant from her neck, hanging it above her head.
...Toshiro's...necklace....
Shukaku laughs, throwing it on the other side of the coffee table.
"Oh little girl...this will be fun..." he says as he lowers over her, kissing at her shoulder.
She pants, trying her best to focus her vision, but actually failing, going in and out. Tears begin to form on the rims of her eyes, wishing she could escape somehow from his grip as he once again reaches behind her back, successfully unhooking her bra.
...Somebody....help me!....
She squeezes her eyes shut, tears beginning to run down her face.
He laughs again.
"You're mine-"
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
Shukaku and Mariya's eyes widen in surprise as he whips his head around.
"What?!-" Shukaku starts.
He falls silent as he spots somebody, from Mariya's view, beginning to become pale. Using what little strength she has, she tries to look around the arm of the couch, to see what Shukaku does.
She catches her breath, hoping that her blurred vision isn't deceiving her.
Toshiro...
"What are you doing Rikuto?!" Toshiro yells.
....He doesn't know...that he's Shukaku...
Toshiro walks forward.
"Where's Mariya?!" he asks.
....He must not...see me...
"C-Captain Hitsugaya..." Shukaku trails, his voice now sounding exactly like Rikuto's.
As he steps closer, Toshiro notices her haori on the ground, along with her ribbon. His eyes widen, looking over to finally see her under Shukaku.
Instantly, Toshiro's turquoise eyes seem to narrow with a fury of anger, somehow taking Shukaku by surprise as he throws him off of her, causing her to finally be separated from the anesthetic.
"How dare you!" Toshiro snaps, clearly pissed off.
"T-To..shiro.." she trails, her voice cracking.
His demeanor changes as he turns to look at her, his look becoming that of shock and appalling. Feeling embarrassed by her appearance, with her returning strength, she pulls her top up to hide her breasts, blushing insanely as tears still trail down her face. He hurries over to her.
"Are you alright?" he asks, his look that of worry.
"To..shiro...th-that's not...Rikuto..." she starts.
He blinks.
"What?" he asks.
"Th-That's..."
Laughing begins to sound from behind them, causing Toshiro to turn, watching as Shukaku begins to run at him.
"Shukaku!" Mariya snaps.
Toshiro reacts immediately as a sand sword appears in Shukaku's grip, parrying his downward attack by guarding himself with Hyorinmaru, the two blades meeting with a clash.
He holds the sword back as he grits his teeth glaring up at Shukaku.
"So, you disguised yourself as Rikuto...so that Yattamori would let you in, and then you were gonna do that to her?!" Toshiro says.
Shukaku laughs, finally morphing his appearance back to what it usually is, smirking down at Toshiro.
"Simple enough right? Now, I'll get rid of you too!" Shukaku laughs, pulling her sword back.
Toshiro takes the opportunity to get Shukaku away from her, slamming his blade into his, taking Shukaku by surprise as Toshiro once again throws him back, his back hitting the wall with a thud, glass from the frames shattering on impact, some digging into his back, but mostly his shoulder.
"ACK!" Shukaku yells, grabbing at his shoulder as he hits the ground.
Toshiro walks up to him, his hands clenched in fists.
"I don't think so, now you're going to be the one to die." Toshiro says, snarling as he begins to glow a light blue.
Shukaku grits his teeth apparently in pain.
"Don't talk bad ass to me you runt! I will have my revenge and rid Mariya Yattamori of her wicked form, if it's the last thing I do!" he snaps.
Toshiro glares him down, not knowing what he meant by form though.
...Toshiro....
Without warning, he feels a presence, one that somehow is familiar to him, influence his power, which seems to double. He whips his blade hard, creating rays of ice to appear, shooting at Shukaku. Shukaku's eyes widen, not prepared to take on such a high powered attack. It hits him square on, hitting him across his chest. Not fatal, but still something that can really take a toll on your endurance.
"N-Ngh!" Shukaku breaths, falling to his knees.
Toshiro blinks, taken back by the powerful outburst. He shouldn't of been able to do that without calling out Hyorinmaru's incantation, so why did his power just release itself? More then that, why did he swing in the first place? His reasoning seems somewhat blurred.
...Back up!...
As if he's being controlled, Toshiro does as told, backing up, and just in time. Shukaku creates a great whirlwind of sand, encasing himself, and anything within a seven foot radius, which before hand he had been within. Covering his face, Toshiro prepares for a coming attack. But, when nothing happens, Toshiro looks up, his eyes widening as he sees that Shukaku has vanished.
He narrows his eyes, seeing now that the sand storm must of been a distraction so Shukaku may escape. Before long, he turns, remembering Mariya. His anger dies a bit, knowing that snapping wouldn't help the situation at this point. He sighs, putting his sword back in it's sheath as he walks back around the couch, to see that Mariya is now sitting up, trembling.
...I-I thought h-he....was gonna...
"Yattamori."
She blinks, looking up at him. His eyes are easier to see now, which seem to be calmer then before, though still on edge.
"T-Toshiro.." she trails.
"What happened?" he asks.
"W-Well, I thought he was Rikuto, so I-I asked him to come in because I s-still had his CD, and w-when I gave it to him, h-he suddenly grabbed me, and b-before I knew what was going on, he had me p-pinned, and was taking off my clothes..." she stutters, reliving the event again and again in her memory.
She holds herself, affected by the experience as a few tears still run down her cheeks. Toshiro watches her, his expression more sympathetic as he looks away, sighing. As he looks away, he sees something familiar on the ground nearby.
Toshiro stands, walking around the table to see her necklace laying on the carpet. He looks back as Mariya to see that she has a burn from where Shukaku must of rubbed the cord around the back of her neck when trying to pull it. He picks it up off the ground, walking back to sit besides Mariya, noticing she's now in her own mind, probably still thinking about the experience.
As she sits there, her eyes widen as she feels something rest on her bare shoulders, pulled from her thoughts as she looks up to see that Toshiro has taken off his haori, covering her up.
Before she can say anything, he reaches past her locks to reach around her neck, retying her pendant so it sits as it did before Shukaku ripped it from her throat.
She looks down, tracing her finger around the pendant, before looking back up at him.
"I'm sorry..." he says, looking her in the eye.
For a moment, she just stares at him, before she begins trembling again, taking him by surprise.
"Toshiro..." she trails.
"Y-Yattamori?" he asks, blinking.
Before he knows what's happening, she buries her face in his kimono, taking a tight hold of the sleeves as she begins to cry harder. He looks down at her, his eyes wide in shock. Then, he becomes more content.
"I-I thought...he was r-really gonna-" Mariya starts.
She cut off as Toshiro puts his arms around her, shushing her.
"It's alright, you're fine." Toshiro reassures her.
She responds with crying harder.
He sighs again.
It seems that he jinxed himself after all, and these people won't leave them alone for awhile.
What's unknown, is all that is ahead of them.

...Back up!...
