"...Finally! I'm back to being one person, and everything is normal again here in the Soul Society. God, I've missed you much that I'm behind on my Mahinahime case. Crap. Why couldn't they assign this to someone else. Seriously?! I'm getting tired of working on this, and might I say I say, it's one of the most boring things I've ever done in my life because I've already read all this information 14 years ago, and let me just say. it only entertained me then because 1, I was younger, 2, I hadn't read any of this info before, and 3, it was my first written assignment as a captain, and I was blindly excited. But, through all this, something bothers me...what time is it in the other world I live in?...

SOUL SOCIETY
Madison's Perspective
Slowly, light begins to peek through her eye lids, consciousness beginning to take hold once more. She blinks as she begins to open her eyes.
"Madison, can you hear me..?" Toshiro's voice sounds through her ears.
She looks up in the direction the voice came from to see the fuzzy image of white.
It's Toshiro.
"Toshiro...?" she says, her voice cracking.
He sighs.
"You had us worried." Toshiro says.
"Us?" Madison asks, confused.
"Yes, us." another voice says.
As her eyes finally clear up, she turns her head to see Aneko and Momo standing at the head of her bed, while Rangiku sits nearby.
Suddenly, the last thing that happened comes back to her. Yattamori, the fight, Devena, everything. But, as she goes through her memories, she notices something else. She remembers everything from before she came back.
"What happened?" she asks as Toshiro helps her sit up, "Where's Yattamori, and Devena?"
"You defeated her, remember?" Toshiro answers.
"What about Yattamori?" Madison asks.
Aneko and the others look confused.
"What about you?" Momo asks.
Madison looks away, then takes off her covers and runs into the bathroom connected to her room. She flips on the light and slowly turns towards the mirror, already expecting what she might see. She feels herself gasp slightly as she looks at herself in the reflection. In the reflection she sees herself, but with slightly longer bangs pushed off to the side, long strands of her chestnut hair hanging down in front while the rest of it hangs down to just above her thighs. Only one person that she has ever known to have hair even similar to this...it's Yattamori.
"I'm back to normal..." Madison says, not believing what she's seeing in the mirror..
She hears footsteps coming into the room.
She turns to see it's Toshiro, smiling.
"I'm Yattamori again." she says, smiling back, before turning back to look at herself in the mirror.
"You're not Yattamori." Toshiro comments.
She turns to look at him, confused by his words.
"What?"
"As you once said, Yattamori is dead, you're your own person, Shecker." Toshiro explains.
She becomes stunned by Toshiros words as she realizes that she had actually said that to him the day she had woken up after her fight with Kenta. She looks away for a minute, then begins to smile.
"You know Toshiro, now that I'm back to normal and remember everything that I knew before, to tell you the truth, I don't care. Because you know what?" Madison asks.
"What?" he asks.
"I am the same girl, just..with a new twist. So, call me Yattamori!" Madison yells as she tackles Toshiro, accidentally, knocking them both to the ground, causing everyone in the room to laugh, even Toshiro himself.
Slowly, she props herself on the bottom of her palm, still laughing hisarically as she does. When she opens her eyes, she finds Toshiro laughing too, making her even happier then before. As he now opens his eyes, still chuckling as he stares up at her.
Suddenly, for each, a awkward memory returns. For Madison, it is the accidental kiss they shared when Toshiro helped after she lost control while flashstepping. For Toshiro, it is the time when he had been, well, enchanted by the fake Yattamori. The two begin to instantly blush, and Madison quickly gets off of him as fast as she can being only in night gown. Luckily, they do it gracefully enough that Aneko, Momo, and Rangiku don't notice, seeing as how they're kinda still laughing. When finally everyone calms down, Toshiro and Rangiku step out while Momo and Aneko stay to catch Madison up with her assignment as she gets dressed in her captain's attire.
"So, basically, you think that Mahinahime was killed all those years ago?" Aneko asks.
"Pretty much, I mean, wouldn't you expect her to come back as soon as all the rouge Soul Reapers were captured?" Madison asks as she pulls her sash around her stomach.
"I guess so, but records show that she had a sercet power that could bring down 20 men in one second. It seems she be able to overpower them easily." Momo comments.
"I wonder what her power was." Aneko comments.
"I looked through some records to see if she had a zampakutou, but nothing came up. I guess she just wasn't taught." Madison says.
"That would make sense, considering she's the royal princess." Momo agrees.
Madison smiles as she ties the bow at the bottom at the bottom of her tied sash. As she looks down at the bow, her vision suddenly become blurred.
"What the-?" Madison starts as suddenly she no longer sees the room she is in.
...Madison, what is wrong?...
Mamori's voice sounds through her head, the first since she had been separated. The calming voice made her relaxed, happy that she isn't entirely alone.
"Mamori, what's going on?" Madison yells.
...you are having a vision. Remember? You, as a time psychic, have the ability to see the past and future...
"Oh, yeah..."
Without warning, a strong light takes hold around her, until finally she finds herself in what appears to be a palace from feudal times, something that she has only seen in books and TV shows.
...Where the heck am I?...
Out of nowhere, a blade peaks from the corner of her eye, her instinct to perry taking over as another sword hits the coming blade. She feels the sword come again and again at her own, until finally, she finds a point. Without mercy, she swings her arm, curves her blade around the other swordsmen's, and flings it from their hand, it landing about 10 feet behind her. She sticks the sword at the man's neck, prepared to strick and finish him. But, without warning, he begins to clap, and smiles.
"Great job, your higness, you are becoming a master at wielding your zampakutou faster then anyone I have ever seen in my life. I do not see why you keep this secret from your parents, they would be amazed by your talent-" The girl at the other end of her blade praises.
...Your highness..?...
"Don't you ever speak of this with my parents!" she hears herself snap at the girl, surprising her.
Madison begins to freak. She wasn't the one that said that!
"But, Princess-" the girl starts.
"No, Kiara. If my parents were to discover that I wield a zampakutou, and even know shikai, they would disown me, if not send me to the streets. My parents made it clear to all of their children that they did not want us to gain the power of a Zampakutou, for they think that it will make us somehow wicked or dependent on their powers. But, I realized soon enough that they did not do as they said it would. I have not only gained intuition on how to protect myself, but, when I become Queen, I believe my knowledge and experience of these swords will actually help me become a greater leader then my parents." Madison hears herself explain, "But, until the time that I take the throne of the Soul Society, you must keep your lips shut, and your mind hushed."
Madison can't believe what she's hearing. Parents? Princess? Future Queen of the Soul Society?! It's clear now. She isn't just in the memories of anyone, she's in the memories of the one that she has been looking for the last 14 years.
Princess Mahinahime.
As she watches the girl solemly nod, Madison tries to make sense of why she is seeing this.
...So, she did have a zampakutou. But, for some reason, her parents didn't want her to, so she never told them and kept it hidden away. That would make sense to why the zampakutou's existense was never recorded. But, still, why am I able to see this, I shouldn't be able to see into her memories, from this long ago...
"Y-Yes, my lady." the girl answers, "But, my lady, what is your zampakutou? What does it do?"
Mahina sighs and turns towards her, holding out her blade horizontal to the ground. As she does so, Madison tries to see the guard and hilt.
...If I see the hilt, I might be able to find out if she's disguised as a soul reaper nowadays...
"My zampakutou I guess you could say, controls that of which controls all of us." Mahina states.
...What the heck is that supposed to mean?!...
"The name of my sword is..." Mahina begins, before the world around Madison begins to contort and the image fades.
...NO!...
Within a second, Madison finds herself starring back down at her sashes' bow.
"Madison...?" Aneko's voice asks, sounding worried.
"Damn it! I didn't see it! And I didn't hear it either, I so close!" Madison snaps.
She looks up at that moment to see Momo and Aneko starring at her, surprised to hear her say the word "Damn", considering she never says stuff like that. It's now that she realizes that they have no idea what she is talking about. She grins awkwardly.
"S-Sorry. I uh, had um, a-" she starts.
"Vision?" Aneko finishes.
Madison becomes surprised by the fact that Aneko actually knows what happened.
"H-How did you-?" Madison starts.
"You're a time psyhic, meaning that you probably have the ability to see the future, and second, I've been you're lietenant for a while now, I think I've got a gist of what your abilities are by now." Aneko explains, smiling, "So, what did you see this time?"
Madison looks away, then sighs.
"She had a zampakutou..." Madison starts.
"What?" Aneko asks.
"She had a zampakutou! What part of that is not easy to understand?!" Madison yells, irritated.
"Who had a zampakutou?" Momo asks.
"Mahinahime!" Madison answers.
"Mahinahime!? That's impossible, it wasn't in the records-" Aneko starts.
"The Soul King and Queen didn't want their children, including Mahinahime, to have the ability to use a zampakutou, so they forbid it. But, Mahinahime accidentally learned about her own and began training with someone without her parents' knowledge. That explains why information about her zampakutou was never writen down. It's because other then maybe one person, no one knew about it." Madison explains, "But unfortunately, the vision didn't last long enough for me to see the guard and hilt or hear her say it's name, so we're still at a loss."
"How did you see all that? Our abilities don't let us see other's past experiences without at least owning something of their's." Aneko asks, stunned by Madison's explanations.
Madison's eyes widen in surprise, before she looks away, trying to find the reason herself.
"Who knows, the important thing right now is that we got a new piece of information that can help us in the future with this case." Madison says as she walks away, opening the door to Toshiro's surprise.
"Madison? What happened?" Toshiro asks as she walks down the hall.
"We're going to go see Grandpa Yama." Madison says.
"Madison, wait." Toshiro says as he stops her.
His actions surprise her.
"Toshiro, what's wrong?" Madison asks.
"I was thinking about it, and I was wondering, haven't you been here for about six days?" Toshiro asks.
Madison is surprised by his question, at least until it finally sinks in about why he said that.
Six days here is about 15 hours back home in her world. Meaning, she's missing school and is probably right now sitting in a hospital bed with her family wondering why she won't wake up!
"Crap!" Madison yells as she begins to run out.
"Madison, wait!" Toshiro calls after her as she exists the building.
Suddenly, in mid pace, she feels a sight pressure around her right wrist, stopping her in her tracks. She looks down to the surprise of a chain bracelet around her wrist, with a purple diamond-shaped charm hanging from one of the rings.
"What the-?" she starts.
Without warning, the charm begins to glow and shines a bright light, blinding Madison and the others for minute. When they can see again, Madison finds a senkaimon like void ahead of her, white light shining from within.
"What's that?" Aneko asks.
"Seems to be a senkaimon or something." Madison says as she walks closer to it.
Suddenly, Toshiro's arm stops her from walking closer, surprising her.
"Toshiro, whay are you doing?" she asks.
"Be careful, you don't know where it leads to." Toshiro warns.
Madison looks back at the portal, not believing in Toshiro's words. Suddenly, from inside the portal, the familar whiney of a horse sounds out, surprising her.
"Mamori.." Madison says as she steps out from behind Toshiro, surprising them.
"Madison, what are you doing!?" Toshiro calls after her as she walks towards the senkaimon.
"It's ok, this senkaimon is a connection between this world and the other world I live in. I'll be fine, don't worry." Madison says as she goes to put her hand into the void.
Suddenly, she feels herself tackled from behind.
"Madison, stop!" she hears Toshiro yell.
But, it all fades as the white light engulfs her, sending her back to where she belongs.
