"...Ok, I really don't know what to say at the moment. I mean, these people want me to challenge the best student of the day to a duel. Dude, I just woke up from the side effects of a duel, and you know what, I really don't feel like going back to squad 4, even though Captain Unohana is nice. But, still, somewhere, I keep hearing myself, trying to push me to fight. And, this feeling gets stronger with every minute I can't answer my squad. So, unless I want to be completely corupted by this feeling, I'd probably say yes fast. Then again, if I do that, I have a feeling that it's going Kenta's snear I 'll be seeing for about five minutes, clashing blades with my own..."

Toshiro's Perspective
Yattamori and Toshiro sit down quietly under the shade of a pine tree, who's needles never fell completely off. He takes a thirsty sip of his water, then wipes from sweat from his brow.
"I told you we'd find something to make you useful." Yattamori says as she bites into a fork-full of salad.
He turns towards her.
"Yeah, having to dodge invisible attacks. That makes me feel so happy." Toshiro says sarcasticly.
Yattamori laughs, then looks back over the hill, to see that Aneko and Rangiku are on their way to lunch with their part of the group. Toshiro looks over too, and grins. It seems that Aneko was making those squad members just as tired as he felt. Almost all of the members were sweating or had bottles of water close to their sides, clutched tight in their clamy palms. As Toshiro skims more, he comes upon Kenta. The guy was barely panting, and only had about a drop of sweat of his forehead. He then looks over at Yattamori, whose looking at Kenta too. Yattamori gives a unpleased frown, then turns back to her salad.
Within minutes, Rangiku and Aneko join them, and they begin to talk about the day's events.
"It took our squad about an hour before all of our group could create barriers. Most were just getting hand signs wrong, but some just didn't understand how to release it after the hand sign. Although Kenta was a big help." Rangiku says.
"How was he a big help?" Yattamori asks.
"You should see how talented that guy is. He was able to create a barrier on the first try, and it was almost as powerful as your's. Anyway, after he acomplished the training task, he began to go around and help others who were having trouble." Rangiku explains.
"Is that so?" Yattamori answers as she picks through her salad again.
Toshiro turns towards her and sees that Yattamori was probably thinking the same thing he was.
Kenta was trying to look good so to impress other members. But, why would he want other members' praise? Something seemed to be questioning, though he didn't know exactly what yet.
"Oh, and we got a good idea for the end of the day, today." Aneko says as she takes a bit of her rice ball, interupting Toshiro's thoughts.
"What's the idea?" Toshiro asks.
"Well, we thought that at the end of the day, the best soul reaper of the day should square off against Captain Yattamori in a duel to-"
Yattamori suddenly did a spit take as she heard the information.
"What?! Why do I have to duel someone?" Yattamori says as she wipes any persperation from her face.
"Well, so that the others can see what they missed and to see just how good the best member can do. Besides, we're not asking you to go all out, we just want to you to clash swords some. That's all." Rangiku answers.
Toshiro understands, Kenta must of heard Aneko and Rangiku talking about the idea. So now, he's trying to look like he's the best so that he can get a shot at Yattamori.
"Why are you so against it?" Aneko asks.
"I'm not against it, it's just-"
"Then there's nothing to argue about. We're doing it." Rangiku says.
"And who made you Captain?" Toshiro asks.
"No one. It's just that we already told some members, so we have to do it." Rangiku explains.
"What?!" Yattamori says, infuriated now.
Aneko looks away as to not get involded, but Yattamori pulls her in anyway.
"You told them that I was doing it without even asking me for my authorization or permission? That's not like you at all Kocamura. Since when do you, of all people, go behind my back and say I've agreed to something I know absolutely nothing about? That's completely uncalled for, Lietenant!" Yattamori yells.
Toshiro looks at Yattamori with surprise. Yattamori never yelled at Aneko, even if she was irritated. And she especially never called her Kocamura or Lietenant. She was the type that liked to stay on a first name basis with people she was friends with. So calling Aneko by something different was completely out of her character. Toshiro watches as she picks at the last bits of her salad, apparently deep in thought over something. As she stares down, a flash catches his attention. He blinks in disbelief. He then second guesse his self then turns so that the others couldn't see why he was worried.
He had barely seen it, but he knew he hadn't been imagining it. As Yattamori was staring, a flash of blood red scheened over her eyes before it diminished into nothing. The same color that Yattamori's eyes had been in her nightmare, inwhich she lost control and slaughtered him.
Toshiro suddenly jerks as someone touches his shoulder.
"Toshiro, what the heck is wrong with you? Are you alright?" he hears Yattamori say from behind.
He turns back to see Yattamori looking at him, her eyes back to their warm hazel selves. She has a worried look on her face, as well as Rangiku and Aneko. He sighs and grins.
"I'm fine, you just scared me. That's all." he answers.
"I scared you?" Yattamori says.
Toshiro nods. Yattamori begins to giggle then laugh happily, her chuckles erasing all of Toshiro's worries for the time.
"What's so funny?" he asks.
"Well, you're always so mature and serious. It's laughable to think that me touching your shoulder could make you flinch or become frightened." Yattamori says as she smiles.
Toshiro looks surprised, then grins too.
"Well, less talking, more eating, we have a new crop of members to train and I don't feel like doing it on an empty stomach." Yattamori says as she opens a bag to reveal five pudding cups and spoons, apparently for the four of them.
"Yes ma'am!" Rangiku says as she grabs one from the bag.
Aneko smiles and takes another, followed by Yattamori.
Toshiro looks over at Yattamori as she takes the top off her cup. He was always blown away by how Yattamori could change the conversation or feeling in a room within moments. A trait that had drawn people to her since they were kids, especially him. It was that trait that had really made them friends. And he had no regrets about it. Finaly, he takes his own and begins to happily eat the pudding as it slid nicely down his throat.
These were times Toshiro rarely ever got to enjoy, so he treasured every minute of it. Ever since Yattamori's death, he had been disconnected and depressed, blaming himself for Yattamori's demise. But, now that she' returned, it's like the dark veil has been lifted off him and he can finally enjoy himself again. But, the scheen of red he'd seen stayed firm in his mind, reminding him that moments like this, don't last.

Madison's Perspective:
8:55 p.m.
Madison sighs as she teaches a member how to erase his spiritual pressure. Although he kew the fundimentals, this guy was as noticable as a neon billboard on the highway.
"Captain?" a voice says from behind.
Madison looks up and turns around. She's gasps quietly underneath her breath. It's Rikuto, her 5th seat, staring warmly at her.
Madison feels her cheeks become red.
"Uh, y-yes?" she asks.
"Can you help me with me. I still can't become fully invisible. Just translucent." he answers, seeming to be embarresed by it.
"Sure, follow me." Madison says as she walks away from the focusing member, Rikuto following close behind.
As they walk together, she notices Toshiro watching them from a few yards away. As soon as he sees her notice him though, he turns away and walks in the opposite direction. She rolls her eyes then returns to walking, stopping a few feet away. Toshiro for some reason never liked it when she hung around attractive guys. Like, she knew he didn't like her like that, and he wasn't a jealous type to top it off. So, the fact that he was against it really buged her. As she thought on, she remembers why she was in that area in the first place. She then turns to Rikuto.
"Alright, now, let's see. Try to become invisible." she says.
Rikuto nods, then puts his hands together in the usual sign. Perfect. Slowly, she watches as Rikuto slowly fades until she can see through him almost entirely. Then, nothing. Problem.
"Ok, I think I see what's happening here."
"What?" he asks, still translucent.
"Well, for one, you're pouring too much energy into the 1st stage. This leads you to not have enough spiritual pressure to become completely invisibile. If you start with less the steadily increase your energy, you should be able to do the move perfectly everytime." Madison explains.
"Oh, ok, let me try again." Rikuto says as he becomes fully visible.
He makes the sign again, then, slower then the last time, he becomes steadily invisible. But, this time, he becomes fully invisible, no trace left.
Madison smiles.
"Perfect! There's no spritiual pressure or anything. You did it!" Madison says as Rikuto becomes visible once more.
"Thanks Captain, I couldn't of done it without your help." Rikuto says, blushing slightly.
"Oh, you didn't need my help, you just didn't know howto control your energy, is all. And another thing, don't call me "Captain". We're friends. Just call me Madison or Yattamori, either one will be fine with me." Madison says.
Rikuto smiles down at her. Madison feels herself begin to blush. Rikuto is about three inches taller then her, and he's only 167, or 16. something, making him in her comfortable dating range. Rikuto's smile gleams crystal white, and his cute dimbles enhanced it ten-fold. His deep, dark blue eyes shine like saphires, polished and glinting in the December moonlight. As the wind blew, his ebony bangs shades his eyes, breaking her trance. She looks down before Rikuto can notice her red cheeks.
"Alright, let's go help others so that-" Madison starts, but stops as she trips over exposed root from a nearby tree.
She closes her eyes, but realizes within moments that she's falling into Rikuto.
"Madison, are you ok?" she hears Riyoko say from above as she clutches his kimono.
She nods as she looks up at him, her cheeks probably beet read. She gasps quietly as she sees his cheeks are red as well. Slowly they rise, staring at each other. Madison then feels the cold chill of deja vu. The memory of only the morning before when she fell into Toshiro washes over her mind. Suddenly a sinking feeling fills her gut. Signals in her brain keep sending the same messages.
This isn't right. You don't like him. Take your hands off him. It doesn't feel quite as nice as...
She doesn't let her mind complete the last sentence. Another sinking feeling fills her mind as she's finally able to look away from Rikuto. Toshiro just happened to of turn back to see them in each other's arms. His face was ash white, as if he had just been hit in the gut. She immediatly takes her arms off Rikuto and begins to walk towards him.
"See you later Rikuto. Help some others who are having trouble." she calls over her shoulder.
"A-Alright. See you...around." he calls after her.
When she reaches Toshiro, he's begining to turn away. She grabs his wrist and turns him back to face her.
"Toshiro, I know what you're thinking. And that's not what happened, I swear." she says.
"I know that."
"Then why-" she begins to ask.
Toshiro looks up at her, and his eyes tell another story.
"Toshiro, what's really bugging you?" she whispers into his ear.
"We did an anomnious vote of a few dozen from your squad to see who you would fight against tomorrow." Toshiro says in a whisper.
"Ok, so who am going up against?" she asks.
"I don't think you should do it. You just woke up from a coma yesterday Madison, it's not safe."
She steps closer, her nose almost touching his.
"Who?" she says.
"It's Kenta. They all voted for him."
Madison becomes as ash white as he is. Of all the people in the world, he was the only one she believed could actually do her damage. Physically and mentally. And one other factor loomed in her mind. Kenta wants to be the Captain. Then he wants to be Head Captain. But there's a few people standing in his way. And she was definitly one of them. So, to get rid of her, he would have to do one thing.
Eliminate her.
